Dear Parents,                                                          

Our story this week will be Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type .

Vocabulary words: Write each word in a sentence –due on Wednesday

Spelling words:

Hens     eggs              ducks             bikes              boxes             wishes           dresses

Names           bells    stamps           dishes                        grapes           jets                 frogs 

Grammar:    compound sentences –Capitals and end marks, 

Math:  subtract two digit numbers, change horizontal problem to vertical, use addition to check subtraction

Religion:  The different seasons of the church year

Social StudiesCompare and contrast the way of life of families around America

Native Americans      Sioux- lived on plains, ate buffalo, shelter from tepees

Pueblo- lived on desert, planted crops, shelter in mountains and mud

Cherokee- lived in mountains, homes out of grass roofs and built walls around villages

Chinook- home-giant redwoods near a large river and the ocean, used wood to build homes and make some clothing, ate- fish

Seminole- lived where it is hot and rainy, homes- dry grass and leaves, they hunted deer, fished, and planted crops

Iroquois- lived in woods and in mountains- ate- full of nuts, berries and deer- built long houses

·         We will have a guest speaker on the Lakota nation on Tuesday.
